October Reading


The best laid plans can always go awry, but some of my reading goals for October are:

A review/discussion of The Last September is still coming. It just didn’t make it in September! This will be an overview of the lovely prose of Elizabeth Bowen, and why sometimes great minds don’t write the novels we want to read.

A review of Laddie, by Gene Stratton-Porter.

Bertha Damon, A Sense of Humus. A book about the creating of a garden, and some wit and wisdom. She only wrote two books, which is regrettable. Really enjoy Damon’s style and sense of humor…
